The cover removes for easy cleaning - we recommend hand washing and air drying.  This seat can also can be used in the house as a bed.  Since this car seat is specially designed for  golf carts, this model should NOT be used as a car seat in automobiles and only be used with a pet harness. A sewn in strap on the golf cart seat connects to your pets harness.
